During a 10-15 minute virtual appointment, a physician will evaluate your ailments and answer any questions you may have about medical marijuana treatment. If qualified, the doctor will certify you directly within the Department of Health Medical Marijuana Registry following the appointment.

Purchase a Patient ID card (optional) for a fee of $50.
Any individual who lives in the state of Maryland whose provider recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition is eligible to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) as a patient.

After the doctor certifies you in the Department of Health’s system, you will receive an email confirmation with your next steps on how to pay for your medical marijuana ID card.
Please allow 7 days for printing from the date you paid for your ID card and 14 days to receive it in the mail. Your card will be mailed to the address provided to the Department of Health.
Once you have received your medical marijuana ID card, you can purchase medical marijuana at any dispensary.
