 Maryland Qualification Requirements

Any individual who lives in the state of Maryland whose provider recommends medical cannabis as a treatment option for a qualifying medical condition is eligible to register with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) as a patient.  Qualifying medical conditions include .

FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN, DEBILITATING MEDICAL CONDITIONS INCLUDE:

  • Cachexia
  • Anorexia
  • Wasting syndrome
  • Severe or chronic pain
  • Severe nausea
  • Seizures
  • Severe persistent muscle spasms
  • Glaucoma
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Chronic medical conditions which are severe and for which other treatments have been ineffective.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE:

Qualifying patient must be a Maryland resident.

Qualifying patient cannot be an inmate confined in a correctional institution or facility under the supervision of the Maryland Department of Corrections.
